It has been some time since I looked at this. The SUMPRODUCT function
may achieve what you want, e.g.
=SUMPRODUCT(A1:A26="A";B1:B26>500;B1:B26<4000)

You can do this with the 'AND' function. Your formula should look something
like this:
=COUNT.IF(AND("Class A">500;"Class A"<4000))
"Class A" must of course be replaced bij the range of cells you want to be
counted.
