I think that you are talking about the MacBook Pro (with the Intel chipset).  
Yes, I am the test lead for this version and recently approved 2.0.4 for 
American English to be released.

Yes, you have to install X11, for now, before you install OpenOffice.org 2.0.4. 
 There are many FAQs and How-Tos on installing X11 so I will not go over the 
details of how to do this.  There is a How-To that you can read in PDF format 
from the Mac OS X download web page at the OpenOffice.org web site as well.

X11 comes on the Tiger distribution diskset.  Again, the fine How-To's give 
great installation instructions.
