I see. There doesn't seem to be any way to create what I'm
looking for straightaway. Here's what I've got thus far.
I create a two-column table. I set it to
Text Flow
[x] Allow table to split across pages and columns
[x] Allow row to break across pages and columns.
That's sets me up to paste or write very well into column 2, and
the text flows onto the next page still staying in that column.
But the problem is I can't add text into column 1 on the
succeeding pages, unless I add line feeds down that column
manually. Adding column breaks hasn't helped.
Maybe the simple answer is to add a row whenever I want to add
column 1 text. I'm trying to create a template for note-taking,
and I'm not sure that would work well.
Thanks for your input.
