This is because the version of X11 on Apple's web site is for Mac OS X 10.3 
(Panther) ONLY.  X11 is included with the install disks and there are several 
good how-tos on installing X11 for Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) including one from the 
web page where you downloaded OpenOffice.org from.

Also, when sending mail to a mailing list, please do not include advertisements 
in your signature.
