Carl,
The OpenOffice.org website is where you can download a free "Word
Processor" not WordPerfect. It can open, at least as I understand it, word
perfect files, however it is not the same.
The Office Suite on that site is free for use in any situation, so feel
free to follow the "Download OpenOffice.org" links and try it out.
By the way, this is not a "Customer Support" service center, this is an email
list where folks such as yourself can submit questions and receive help by a
large number of volunteers.
