It will be best if you make a decission on the documentformat you're going to 
store your work in. Otherwise you will find yourself converting your documents 
over and over again.

If the majority of you documents must be shared with MSO users then you can 
change the default-format in which OOo saves to the MSO-one.
This can be done through Tools>Options>Load/Save>General>Default fileformat. 
The actual path might sound a bit different in the english version, but I'm 
using the dutch version and am guessing the english equivalent of what I see.

In the other case you can just keep the default-format to OpenDocument and when 
you need to share a document choose File>Save as ...  and pick the appropriate 
MSO-format (doc, xls, ppt).
