In the Tiger Installation disk, open Options and perform an
installation. Select X11, and install it. Should be easy. Open
office should run fine after the Installation of the X11 App.

Hi
I have a macbook and am using 10.4.8 operating system. (Macosx)
I have downloaded openoffice.2.0 but can't open it without apple
x11. I can't find out how to get this - a message tells me that I
can use my installation disk but I have only found something in
user tools that mentions x11 and I ran this without effect. I have
been to the apple website and phoned the help line, they know
nothing about openoffice. Please help - I'm going nuts!! I don't
think I should have to pay $600 for microsoft office just to read a
few documents.
