Hey guys,
I ran into a problem installing Open Office 2.0.3 on
Solaris(SPARC) and I really need it to work in order to test some other
software that uses OpenOffice. All the initial installation steps went fine.
But when I tried to run the soffice executable file I get the error:

[Java framework] Invalid value for bootstrap variable:
UNO_JAVA_JFW_VENDOR_SETTINGSjavaldx failed!
Missing vcl resource. This indicates that files vital to localization are
missing. You might have a corrupt installation.

I checked my locale settings and they seem to be fine. Do you know what the
problem could be?

Thanks,
Kartik
I've seen this problem mentioned on the forum. If memory serves well, the solution is to install the correct language pack.

Have you tried searching the forum or even a general web search?
