I understand. Yes, I was trying to open it with Microsoft Word. I did
save it as an odt. file format. I will open it tonight and resave it as
a .doc file type.

What windows program would that be? Is it Microsoft Word, then you
probably saved the file originally in the OpenDocument format of OOo.
This format can not be read by MSW. If you want the document to open in
both wordprocessors then you must save the document as a *.doc file.
