Claudia,

Would you please explain what this procedure does. Or point me at a document
that does?

First, it seems I cannot copy/move a complete template. Instead I must double
click the template and then copy/move the styles one at a time. Is this correct
or am I doing something wrong?

What effect does this have on my currently open document? Does it copy/move
only paragraph styles or does it do page styles, character styles, etc.? If I
copy a style from an old document and I have a style with the same name in my
currently open document, does the current text change to conform to the copied
style?

What happens if I *move* a style? Does it disappear from the old document? What
happens to the old document's appearance?

What effect does it have on the documents stored on my hard disk? The reason I
ask is that when I copy a style (on Win XP Pro) I get a dialog that asks
"Should the Default Paragraph Font Style be replaced?" If I say "yes", what
happens the next time I open an old document? I hope the answer is "nothing"
but ...
