The trouble is, I believe there is more than one file with that name.

The usual path on Windows to the user directory, I understand, is:

c:\documents and settings\username\Application Data\ OpenOffice.org2\user

The path to the file you want is given on the FAQs page and depends on the way in which you installed the software. It is either:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application 
Data\OpenOffice.org\<user>\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu

or:

C:\Program 
Files\OpenOffice.org\<user>\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu.



It's fairly plain.

there i'm lost as i dont understand how to get into system user directory?
PLEASE HELP as i am not quite computer literate in terms of understanding if
