I followed the steps provided by advice but dont understand from that point?

1. Click on the Start button
2. Click Search
3. On the menu (labelled  "what do you want to search for") click "All files and 
folders"
4. In the box labelled "All or part of the file name" enter "common.xcu" 
**without** the quotes.
5. Make sure the box labelled "look in:" says "Local Hard Drives"
6. Click Search.

but cannot understand the steps provided after step 6 where to from that point i've done 
it all and found two files with "common" now where to from there? Any   help as 
i'm not  to computer literate.
