You'll need to download OOo (www.openoffice.org), install and then
you'll be able to open the file fine.

Alternative, you can ask your colleague to re-send as a Excel
formatted file (which OOo can do as well)...

Hi

I've been given a spreadsheet file by a colleague, with an .sxc extension. I
need to do some work on this but because I use Microsoft Excel I am unable to
open the file. Can you give me any advice on how I might be able to convert
the file please?

Many thanks

Ann McCormack
