Hi!. I don't know exactly where to look for my particular questions. All I know is
I need help quick. And I just can't seem to figure this out, even after reading the
help sections. I am a court reporter and I need to be able to print out my transc
ripts. Everytime I try to set the margins for my custom court paper I get "out
of print range. I'm trying to get 1 1/2 inch on top. 1/4 inch on right margin. !
3/4 on the left margin and 13/4 on the bottom. I feel so stupid because I can't
figure it out. Secondly, people will send me emails with ms word attachments. I
don't have ms word anymore 'cause when I picked up a trojan, some files accidentally
got deleted. How do I open their email attachments with open office 2.0? I click
on the attachment, tells me microsoft word unable to open this, create a file
assocoation in folder options control panet. Right, like I have a clue what that
means. Thank you. I have people waiting on this court case that I can't figure out
how to type in..

The second part of you question is a Windows problem. Go to the
control panel (Usually an icon under My Computer), and click the icon
named "Folder Options". Click on the tab labeled "File Types" and
scroll down the list of extensions until you find "DOC". Once you
highlight the DOC extension, the dialog box below the list of files
should say something like "Details for 'DOC' extension". Click the
Change button, and select OpenOffice.org to change the file
association from MS Word to OpenOffice. Your computer should now open
all MS Word files with OpenOffice.
