If you can't do without windows, try vmplayer from www.vmware.com along
with one of the community supplied linux VMs. with this setup, you can
install vmplayer on windows and run windows and linux SIMULTANEOUSLY.
In the linux VM you can use KWord.

Linux to it), then you could use KWord. KWord is a frame-based word
processing program that can open pdf files.
I can't comment on whether it does the job better than solidpdf.
