Hello:

I'm using Intel MacBook version of OpenOffice and everything was just fine until I tried to create a graph from my spreadsheet that I would normally do in MS Office. In MS Office, all I have to do is to click on an icon that will give me options how I want my graph (style). OpenOffice has an icon called "Insert Chart". Although it gave me some options to create a chart, it doesn't have the option that I want. What I wanted to do is to create a graph for my lab report which of course has some data in spreadsheet which I then select the desired data range to create a graph (i.e Frequency Vs Rotational Velocity or something similar). In OpenOffice, it gave me option to draw lines individually s if they are independent of each other and all the data are on the same axis (x-xis or y-axis). May be I just do not know how to select the data from spreadsheet document so that I can create a graph (Velocity Vs Time sort of graph. not pie chart or financial report sort of chart).

If someone can give me instruction on how to get 2-D graph that people normally draw on a graphing paper for school work (i.e on x-axis and y-axis), I'll be very grateful to you.

Thanks in advance.

Si Thu
