[users] Date with Keyboard Hotkey

I would like to use Control D to insert the current date into a letter, 
using the format " January 12, 2006 " the way WordPerfect does it.
Could not find help to do such a thing...  is it possible, and if so, 
how can I do it using that format??
A macro???
