Hi Michael
I've used Draw for a weekly newsletter too, and I know what you are
talking about. It does work very well (when it is working).
So as I said I'll just shift over to Scribus. It's much more complex
and not as simple to use, but it is a Desktop Publishing tool and
functions as such. I hope things can get fixed in Draw because at
some point I hope to shift this project to a less experienced
individual who would probably find OOo a much easier learning
experience.
Or you could revert back to the previous version of OpenOffice until
things are fixed.
I've found several issues with 2.0.3 and 2.0.4 which have kept me using
2.0.2 at work on Windows. I do use 2.0.4 at home on Linux.
It's always an interesting experience for me to try to work out the right
tool for the right job. I do prefer using Draw for most of those types of
documents. The main problem I find is that you can't flow text from one
frame to another like you can with Writer. Although I normally use Draw
for layout work, some documents have been much simpler in Writer, and for
others I have chosen Scribus.
Best of luck with your decision.
Adrian
