As a correction to my previous post: I noticed after my post to you that the Wordpad RTF file does not include the footnotes and bibliography database! So, I then used AbiWord (2.4.4.) and it brought up the file fine (including all accents, footnotes etc). Then in AbiWord I saved it as a MS Word file and RTF file and opened both in OOo 2.0.4 (linux). Footnotes etc all are ok now. The only problem that I found with this method is that the footnote anchor, footnote, pagenumber, font styles etc are a bit large and the anchors weren't superscripted. But that was corrected by modifying the styles & page numbering once it was back into OOo. I did not have the odd font problem that you had with AbiWord; smartquotes were fine, accents were fine. Glad you managed to recover the document successfully. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
