I am not sure, but a workaround could be to write a word or two then change
the font color to white and it seems to be an empty page

Just an idea

This is (or, probably, was) a feature for those writing books. After the
title
page there is mostly, when printing, an empty second page, which is the
backside of title page.

This was irritating a lot of people who did not write books and therefore
couldn't quite follow the reasoning for having an empty page. See
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3910
for details.

and later. So what version are you working with?
