Hello Harold

I have downloaded OO ver OOo_2.0.4_Win32Intel_install for windows XP

I have done an MD5 Checksum and got the following value....

f92e2065080801a4066779a9f82df095

However I now cannot find the value to compare it to as given in the instruction "7. Compare the calculated MD5 Checksum with the one listed for the corresponding OpenOffice.org archive on the MD5Sum page (linked to on the latest download page)."

Can you please assist in locating the page where the value is.

Regards
Anthony

Use MD5 to verify the integrity of the file you downloaded. Assuming you are using Windows, instructions for doing this are under the section relevant to Windows at http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/using_md5sums.html

If the file passes that test then, before installing, disconnect from the internet and turn off your Anti Virus (AV) and firewall software. Those can often interfere with software installation; nothing to do with OOo.

Don't re-connect to the internet until both your AV and firewall software are running properly again.
