OOo comes with Ubuntu???
I think it is Dapper but it is a
version to be used with VMware so I can
run Linux on my windows system.
I still am downloading the Ubuntu
for the past 4 hours and 2 to go
and this is on Broadband - slow site
I see so many people talk about Ubuntu
and OOo so I wanted to ask here first
If you know of a place where I can get
the information I want, I would like to know
about it.
Also How easy is it to update or modify
OOo on Ubuntu - Dapper???
Since my only work with OOo is Windows
and I have not dealt with a Linux product
since 2000. That is why I want to try out
the system and get input about all aspects.
Is there a better Linux/OOo combo?
with less problems???

This will run the Linux slowly (about 1/2 speed)
but it is a test for possible replacement on a
dedicated machine.
I would like to know what versions of
what software are best out there?
I will download an OOo version
but I will want to look at more.
any advice?
Hi
Minor sin, you have hijacked a thread. Please start a new one if you are

Ubuntu should come with a version of Openoffice.org. As I recall 2.0.2 in
Dapper 6.0.6 or 2.0.4 in Edgy 6.10.
If not installed by default they will be installable by your package
manager (Synaptic, Adept, Aptitude etc.)
