Hello,
I am trying to insert a Java applet into an OOImpress presentation. I had
this feature working in OO 1.0. I recently updated to 2.0.4 and the
applet feature does not seem to work. I have done the following:
1. Double checked to ensure JRE is setup properly in OOImpress
(under Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org -> Java). It auto detects the
JRE properly and seems to be pointing at the correct path (C:\Program
Files\Java\jre1.5.0_04)
2. The applet that I am trying to run is pretty simple and works
fine under appletviewer.
3. When I insert the applet in OOImpress it shows an Image (with a
Plug) and when I double click it under windows it pops a error dialog box
stating "Error Activating Object: General OLE Error"
4. The properties box for this object has the following entries:
Class: Scribble.class
Class Location: file:///c:/temp
Parameters: width=500 height=400
Can't find any log entries or any other additional information
troubleshoot. There are no recent postings to regarding this issue. Any
help (either under Windows or under Linux) is greatly appreciated.
