Check first. Sorry to reply to my own post but I mis-spoke. What I should have said was that you *might* need to shut down Quickstarter before the procedure I outlined above and start it again afterwards. Quickstarter prevents OpenOffice "remembering" some settings if it is running when you make those settings.
