Vincent:

Might I suggest looking at http://documentation.openoffice.org
?

There are several User Guides and How-to (step by step instructions) on how to
use OpenOffice.org 2.0.

Also, I will advise against updating the X11 program. This update will cause
OpenOffice.org to stop functioning until either you
fix the problem OR Apple provides an update.
