2006/11/11, YON - Jan C. Hardenbergh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

I had OpenOffice 2.0.3 (for PPC if I remember correctly.

It decided a file that I had closed cleanly needed to be recovered
and would not allow me to skip it. However, it crashes when
recovering so, it would never get out of that loop.

So, I downloaded 2.0.4 for Intel and that does not even get that far.

The must be some mangled temp files somewhere that I can delete, right?

Is there any debug switch to turn on to get more info? I am computer
literate (Started using UNIX in 1983) and have done a bit of
development on Mac OSX.

Please look at the OpenOffice.org Mac porting site

Apple provided a X11 update that has a problem with Vera fonts
consequence is that Intel Macs don't run OOo anymore.
Apple promises to remedy this problem... we are waiting.

Meanwhile, OOo has provided a workaround.
Try it!
