Kris: 1. Your Mac does not have X11 installed or you would not get the message that states you need to install. 2. You attempted to use the X11 program from the Apple web site that is not compatible with the version of Mac OS X installed on your Mac Intel. 3. You need to follow the steps as listed on the Mac OS X OpenOffice.org FAQ web page. It can be found here: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/faq/installing/index.html
