Please have a look at those type of messages. You will find that a large part 
of the OpenOffice.org user community are not sofisticated PC users - and yes, 
the vast majority are Windows users.

Most of those asking questions for the first time, have no concept of a 
mailing list, and not really even a concept of "free" "FREE!!" software 
supported by a volunteer community. 

This is why it is important to CC: those users as few of them know how to 
subscribe - indeed many of them do not know how to edit the subject line to 
be somehow relevant to their question. 

To know whether a poster is not subscribed please set up your filters to see 
if the header "Delivered-to:" has the value "moderator". 

But most importantly it is important to be patient with such users.
