Incidentally am I the only one who finds Equation Editor help could be
more
helpful? The reference list of how the text translates into symbols -
the
one essential thing for users - isn't available from the top level menu.
Once I'd worked it out, I found that Equation Editor produced a result
(for
my particular equations) that is better than Microsoft's equivalent.
But I
could use the Microsoft's GUI system without looking at the help system,
while I was struggling with OOo's one.

Once you know what to type, Math is very quick!
