Hello,

This is my first message to the OpenOffice world, with that said I'll jump
right into my problem. First, I work on a mainframe (oh no) and I was
able to install z/VM (very similar to vmware) on a IFL. Second, I
installed SLES 9 on z/VM with the idea of installing OpenOffice. When I
tried to rpm -Uvh *rpm I received the following the message for every rpm:

package openoffice.org-core08-2.0.4-5 is intended for a i586 architecture

I take it that OpenOffice is looking for a specific chip set of i586.
Anybody have any ideas on how to circumvent this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Justin F. Bastin
