It does not "feel" like OOo's problem.
Do you have the same problem of "speed" with any other graphically
"intense" program?? Try it and see.
To be honest, if the same program works slower on the Core Duo
vers. the other computers then ther may be a problem with the computer
itself.
When I activited the manufacture's routines to take advantage of the AMD 64
Athlon
full functionality using XP Pro (not 64 bit version), some programs slowed
down.
It may be XP Pro/Home's problem with Core Duo.
or
some other problem
Make sure you have the manufacture's patches and updates.
