You didn't say what kind of trouble you're having.

In my case Word and OO docs are fully interchangeable and I open any in any prog (usually more in OO these days).

Subject: [users] Is OOv2 compatible with Word?
Date: Mon, 27 Nov 2006 17:49:42 -0700

To Whom It May Concern;
I lost Word when my old hard drive crashed. I went to Best Buy and they told me about OpenOffice.org so I thought I would give it a try.

I am having a GREAT deal of trouble using OO to create a resume, save it as a Word .doc, and then send it to a computer that has Word. The receiving computer can open it but the format is garbaged. How can this be avoided?

I need to know fast because I am looking for work and companies are expecting my resume and I want to send them a professional looking resume.

Thanks for you time and efforts on my behalf.

Regards,
Brian G. Baxter
