OpenOffice can read and write Word documents. It cannot read or write
Works documents. Only Works can do that. You need to persuade Works to
save the document in Word format, then OpenOffice will be able to read
it.
On a slightly different topic, would you please do something about your
typing. It's extraordinarily difficult to read you weird mixture of
uPpEr AnD LowEr cASe. Thank you.
