Doctor:

You may be lucky to find a local OpenOffice.org user. However, this is NOT a
traditional Technical Support "Hot Line"
but rather a group of volunteers helping each other.

Sun does provide call in support for its Star Office product.

Since this is now abundantly clear, we need the following:

What Operating System are you using (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, etc.)
What version of OpenOffice.org are you using?

Let me see if I get the following:

You are attempting to edit an OpenOffice.org 1.1 text document (.swx) and are
using a version of OpenOffice.org 2.0 to
do this. The document is opening to an empty document. You are getting errors
on save (please try to type in the errors
in your reply to the [email protected] mailing list, I do not reply to nor
provide private assistance it is too time consuming
and I have a release to work on.)

Mac OS X QA/Test Team Lead
