[users] Installed on Mac OS X

Running Mac OS X 10.4.8 on a G5 iMac
When launching OO it asks to use the fonts, X11 starts-up  and then  
it simply gives a time-out

I do have some gnome stuff, but I did not understand the porcedure to  
get them to work together.

Any ideas ?
