In E*cel you can link nearly all drawing objects to a cell or cell range. The drawing object will show the current cell contents and will update itself if the cell changes. This does even work for picture objects, which will show a "screenshot" of the cell(s). How to achieve this? Select the object, and enter the cell link into the formula edit box.
