You are probably using 10.4 on your Mac. The X11 you downloaded
is for 10.3 and some earlier version.
You have two choices at this point. One, look for the X11 file on
the Installation DVD that came with 10.4. Two, go to
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/x11update2006113.html to
download the newest version of X11 for 10.4.
