When I select file the only thing in the drop down menu is use start up screen, which i am unable to select, there is nothing else in the file menu....I have tried downloading again but it still does not show anything..
Kristy, OOo works "inside" the X11 window. You have to pass through X11 to activate OOo When X11 is the active application (maybe you need to click on X11 in the dock), you have the X11 menus in the topleft corner. Under Window you should find OOo.
