Check the formatting of the cells. You may have white text on a white
background.

I am a new user of open office. I am getting very frustrated with

column or row headings. I need to develope spreadsheets that others
can comprehenbd as well as knowing what each column and row stand
for. These rows and columns will not contain numbers or formulas.
What could I be doing wrong? The text is appearing in the status bar
but not in the cell on the sheet. At this rate freezing a column or
row will not help if I cannot see the text. I need to see the text
all the time not just when I am positioned on that cell. Could
