OOo2 is "compatible" in the meaning that it can open all files created by SO7. For SO7 you must install the latest product patch to be able to open documents in the "Open Document" file format of OOo2.0 that it uses as its new standard file format. Besides that SO7 is a commercial brother of OOo1.1. If you have installed the latest product patch for it (PP5) you will get the same updates as you get for OOo1.1 by installing OOo1.1.5. The commercial brother of OOO2 is StarOffice8.
