2006/12/11, Steve Grindey <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I'm not sure which version I am using, how do I tell? I tried to print it using all the different options (Ctrl. P, Print icon, File - Print), but none of them would work. It kept going to the "Save As" screen when I tried to print. It worked on my old computer. I just got a new computer and loaded OpenOffice using the disc. I tried to reload it, but it still didn't work.
You can find the version number under Help > About OpenOffice.org. The version number has 2 dots in it, e.g. 2.0.4 If you have a fast internet connection, the easiest solution -it seems to me- would be to download the latest version (2.0.4) from the OOo site: http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html?focus=download and install this on your new computer. Follow the installation instructions http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/instructions.html (if under Window$: disable Quickstart, anti-virus and firewalls before installing) good luck -- Guy using english OOo 2.0.4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
