Your refund for what you paid for OpenOffice.org is attached to this email. You may now whine elsewhere.

thank you at least for your reply.
you are of course right that my previous email was out of frustration anger and genral dissapointment with open office org. my first complaint was that i had too many clicks to reach the finnal doan load , unpack files and reg, before i could open up and try what open office was like. secondly when opening my exel files i continualy received a warning that marcos were unsafe, and to turn them off before i could open this file. this did not happen before! when sending email the receiver could not open them as they were ODF files, as these files were sent clean direct from ' open office' and not from microsoft offic. now can you see were my frustration anger is coming from. for i was told that open office was as good as microsoft and ready to use. then when i have had enough i find i cannot uninstall and when idid try microsoft method it still left files behind and maybe some i dont know about. it would be better if you had supplied a clean uninstall method and then maybe i would not be so angry with this product this product. 'thanks for nothing' is a sarcastic remark but i feel justified in making it.

Sorry to hear that you were "disappointed" with OOo (OpenOffice.org).
However, it would be very helpful if you could give us few brief
specifics about what aspects of OOo disappointed you. This will enable
us to determine if there was some misunderstanding on your part, or if
there is something we can do to improve OOo, that may encourage you to
consider reinstalling OOo at some future date.

and now i wish to uninstall. icannot find an uninstall button.

That's because there is no uninstall "button". You uninstall OOo through
the Windows standard control panel method. The only "gotchya" to watch
out for is that you must use the right click context menu option
"close/exit" of the OOo Quickstarter icon in the taskbar tray. This is
something I would like to see changed in OOo, but that's another story.

i have tried to remove via the controll pannel

OK! You have used the correct uninstall method, but did you close
Quickstarter (see above)) first?

but still i have some files left behind and douments i cant open.

Are these files you have created or edited with OOo? If we are to help
you resolve this, you will need to tell us what type of files they are.

If they are files/documents saved in ISO/IEC 26300:2006 standard format,
you will need software that can convert these files into other formats.
At the present time the best software to do this is OOo. Microsoft
software cannot currently do this, although there is a plug-in under
development for some of their products to achieve a measure of
compatibility with the ISO standard.

thankyou for nothing

Obviously, you are upset and frustrated about something, but making
sarcastic comments is unlikely to encourage anyone here to come forward
and help you. A far better approach would have been to approach this
support mailing list requesting help with your OOo issues before
attempting to uninstall. It very possible that we could have resolved
these issues for you and you, like millions of others, would be a
satisfied user of OOo.

I hope my reply has been of some assistance to you.

Regards

Dave
