With OpenOffice, what you will have is not Microsoft Word, but
OpenOffice Writer - a similar program, but not the same. If you have to
give your documents to people who have only MS Word, you will first have

We need a software program to do word processing of letters, etc. Just
basic stuff. We have an older IMAC OS 9.2 with 512 MB Ram. Is it possible to
get MS Word 98 or Word 2001 for this computer? If so, where do we get it and
what is the requirement for each? We'd appreciate any help you can give us.
