I'm using windows xp, openoffice 2.0.4, writer.
Had problems with retroactively formatting footnotes.
This document has been in and out of Word, saved as a rich text
formatted doc. Probably a bad idea ....
Repeated transfers into and out of openoffice apparently removed the
'small' attribute (is that the right term?) from the footnotes. Anyway,
the footnotes are not superscript, neither is the apparent font size
smaller. They used to be OK
...
So, I tried saving the document in OpenOffice as a .doc, opened it in
Word, saved it, closed it, opened it in OpenOffice, saved as .odt.
Now the footnotes are behaving just fine.
there has got to be an easier way...
Any suggestions?
Having heard so many screams from people that have had Word reformat
their documents (between versions) that your problem doesn't surprise
me.
I am not a great expert in styles but this is a perfect case for them.
