I'm using Open Office for OS X: Is there a way to change those shortcut commands within the application that use the ctrl key to instead use the command (apple) key (to match the way other programs run in OS X)? Any help/guidance would be much appreciated. -Barry Barry
I think it's a pity, but as far as I know, you can forget about the apple key when you're using OOo. Since OOo is primarily designed for use on Windows machines (and Linux), the functionality of Mac isn't really put to use. See also the sidebars with the up button separated from the down button, the down key that doesn't bring you to the end of the line, and other practical solutions that Mac users have grown accustomed to. You can file an issue to get these functionalities introduced (at least to the Mac version of OOo). You need to log in, then file an issue at http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi You probably know already that you can introduce your own shortcuts via Tools > Costumize > Keyboard (but you'll find no Cmd there) -- Guy using english OOo 2.0.4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
