Hello,

Our foundation is going to make video tutorials and a course for students on "Writing a Master Thesis with OpenOffice". Basically, we are making a "movie" on the most important parts of the official OO guide. Here (http://www.vodes.net/rev/Other_Events/OO_Course/OOC%11460701/) is the first chapter (paragraph styles).

If you are interested in helping us create those video tutorials, feel free to provide us with some feedback and good ideas. If you want to comment on the roadmap/individual video, please do so here: http://www.vodes.net/rev/btforum/index.php?topic=74.0.

We have a question regarding the next tutorial on page styles. For the first page (title, name of the writer, supervisor) we want to align the content in the middle of the page. The only way we found so far were to create a table or to set the top and bottom margins. Is there a simpler way to make sure that the title text field is vertically aligned in the middle?

Best,

Frames contain a setting for vertical alignment. You could create a template with a frame positioned as you want on the page then set vertical alignment inside the frame. Or, you might just create a frame that covers the entire text area on the page.
