Please check carefully that the name of the file you downloaded is
*exactly* the same as one of the names on the MD5 page. I think the MD5
page has been updated to give the sums for the various versions of OOo
2.1 whereas I think you may have downloaded 2.0.4. If that's true then
the MD5 of your file won't match any on the web page. Before ordering
the CD, try downloading 2.1 and checking its MD5 against the web page
using the same MD5sum checker program. If it still fails then it's time
to order the CD. If it matches then you have a good download and the
install should "just work". OOo 2.1 fixes several bugs in 2.0.x so it
may be worthwhile anyway. Not sure if CDs are available yet for 2.1.
Before doing the install, remember to disconnect from the internet and
disable your AV & firewall software. Don't reconnect till they are both
running properly again. You can tell OOo that you will register later
(or that you have already registered) because registration requires an
internet connection which you won't have at that point.
