OpenOffice.org reads MS Word documents and can also save in *;doc format MS Word cannot read OOo documents, let alone save in *.odt format Solution: complain by MS / send files in pdf or doc format to your MS-locked husband or *better* install OOo on his computer -- Guy using english OOo 2.0.4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
