Harold, Thanks for your suggestions. Yes, my AOL version is not the newest (V8 I believe). I have been advised to throw away my Win 98 laptop, but since I tend toward being thrifty (hence Open office) I remain loyal to my hand-me-down laptop. Afterall, one cannot become a millionaire if one spends money. However, if necessary I will purchase the CD for Openoffice. Thanks again Eric Indianapolis, Indiana
