manuals at http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals Recognize that the default document formats of openoffice.org are the ODF formats which are also known as Open Document Format which is a fully open, understood, and universal document specification. Microsoft Office saves files in its own proprietary formats and while OpenOffice.org software is capable of opening & saving files in various Microsoft formats, this is not the normal behavior.
